This tea has the aromatics of a pastry chef at the top of his game. The cup has a gentle body and mouthfeel with the character of raisins, almond, and cinnamon. Resistance is futile.
Produced April of 2025 by Mr. Xue on Wuyi Mountain of Fujian Province. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick of the Mei Zhan cultivar growing at approximately 2,600 feet.

Steep 3 grams of tea in 10–12 oz of 212°F (100°C) water for 4 minutes.

I really hope these wonderful people are able to source this tea again. I was surprised at how accurate the description was. It's interesting gong fu style, but I think this one is superb brewed traditionally and eaten with any type of berry, fresh, preserved, or otherwise. I've drank it this way with a raspberry crumble, and even just toast with strawberry jam. Both were stunning and very complimentary to the tea. Would highly recommend.
Every tea I've ordered from TeaSource has been good, but Bear Claw is definitely one of my favorites. It tastes exactly as described. I like it made traditionally with a bit of milk. It has become my go-to in the morning - perfect for autumn!
This tastes exactly as described. I can hardly believe it's just black tea. Yummy!
